Co-ordination and management of M&E installations from design through to project completion.
Responsibilities:
1. Liaise with Design / pre-construction to review & input commissioning practices.
2. Review M&E trade packages in line with design information and Employer Requirements prior to enquiry – including liaising with Technical Co-ordinator.
3. Assist the Construction Team in monitoring and reviewing Building Services Installation on Contracts (including site visits) against specification and design requirements.
4. Assist in reviewing subcontractor submissions prior to appointment.
5. Assist Contract Surveyors in monitoring and progressing for valuing internal and external valuations.
6. Evaluate M&E progress & commissioning against programmes.
7. Carry out M&E Commissioning meetings & produce meeting notes with M&E contractors / consultants & clients.
8. Review Commissioning method statements.
9. Liaise with external agencies such as Building Control, Fire Brigade and other statutory authorities.
10. Set up procedures for snagging and commissioning installations prior to practical completion.
11. Co-ordinate information for the production of Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
12. Develop Checklist and Risk Registers as appropriate and monitor thereafter including Commissioning Plan.
13. Assist in updating internal Q&A Procedures to improve performance.
14. Carry out witnessing & or managing 3rd party witnessing.
15. Assist final project handover; client familiarisation on M&E systems.
Experience:
1. Good communication skills.
2. Recognised building services qualifications & or experience.
3. M & E Commissioning experience.
4. Intermediate level in Excel and Word.
5. Ability to train others.
6. Stay abreast of M & E innovation.
7. Understanding of HIU / HLT & CP1 2020.
8. Knowledge of renewable energy technologies.
