They use their platform, Roczen, to combine medical expertise, smart technology, and personal support. Their programmes focus on time-restricted eating (TRE) and intermittent fasting (IF), along with nutritional, behavioural, and exercise guidance to create personalised plans. The Roczen Programme is delivered through a digital platform with regular video consultations with clinical staff. Their team includes Doctors, Nurses, Dietitians, and Psychologists, supported by their Mentor community. The Role: I'm on the look out for a permanent Backend Technical Lead with deep expertise in Java, preferably Kotlin, and extensive experience with the Spring framework, particularly within a microservices architecture. This role requires both hands-on technical work and leadership responsibilities. As a Backend Technical Lead, you will take charge of technical aspects, including code reviews, task delegation, and prioritisation. Your experience in leading teams and making technical decisions will be crucial. You will oversee a group of remote developers, ensuring effective collaboration and progress. The position is remote within the UK, though occasional travel to our London office may be required a couple of times a year. The Tech: They have mobile apps (React Native) for iOS and Android and a web app (React), this was initially launched in 2022 and since we have developed the platform further. As their patient base grows there is a need to develop further functionality that will benefit both their patients and their clinical team. The Backend is a microservices architecture using Kubernetes, MongoDB, RabbitMQ and deployed in AWS. The Backend is written in Kotlin using the Spring Framework. In this Technical Lead role, you’ll work closely with the UX team, Business Analyst, Technical Architect, and another Tech Lead, all based in the UK.
