Are you an experienced HR generalist looking for an operational HR role where you can full control and ownership of your own site?
We are working with a SME manufacturing business in Derbyshire with a strong history in the market and they are looking for a real generalist who will also have the opportunity to be involved in projects. Acting as first point of contact for all employees and managers from your dedicated site, duties include:
* Support across the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and on-boarding to probation and performance reviews
* Advising managers on all employee relations matters from absence management to disciplinaries and grievances
* Keeping HR system up to date and running reports to assist wider people & management teams to identify trends
* Leading training sessions to managers and employees to upskill employees
* Managing all short and long term absence cases and working with occupational health professionals
* New starter packs & right to work & onboarding compliance
* Support in wider people strategy projects from retention to engagement, Reward & Benefits and any other ad hoc projects
This is a full time position working 37.5 hours Monday to Friday with some flexibility on start & finish times and the opportunity to work from home up to 2 days a week.
For this role we are looking for experienced HR Generalists who love the day to day operational work and have the confidence to take ownership of your dedicated site. You will have a solid understanding of UK employment law supported by a CIPD qualification or recent experience independently handling your own employee relations cases from investigations to outcome.
You will have experience leading across the recruitment lifecycle and be competent in writing job adverts, interviewing candidates with ability to provide an excellent candidate experience and onboarding process.
Data management is a large part of this role so you will be someone who is able to interpret, manipulate and present data to identify trends and work with stakeholders on continuous improvement and best practise.
