Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client, a leading Tier One Civil Engineering Contractor, working on the Thames Water Framework. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring financial delivery and completion of projects, protecting the company from financial risks and adhering to commercial procedures.

About the Role
* The Principal Contract Administrator will be responsible for coordinating with the Regional Director/Manager and Commercial Manager, implementing their directives and ensuring timely submission of contract performance data on a monthly and quarterly basis.
* Liaising with Project Managers for commercial administration of contracts, preparing accurate draft sub-contracts, and approving such drafts as prepared by the Commercial Team.
* Ensuring consultation with contracts management to give necessary notices and submissions, and main contract payment applications contain necessary admeasure/additional cost claims.
* Assisting Project Manager in the administration of sub-contractor performance, ensuring prompt and regular submission of main contract payment applications and subsequent cash collection.
* Involvement in dispute avoidance/resolution and responsible for managing meetings.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on live projects and final accounts, with a sound understanding of the construction industry and its parties. They will also possess proficient knowledge of measurement and valuation, good knowledge of standard forms of contract, and the ability to negotiate with clients/sub contractors and draft sub contracts.
Requirements

* Extensive experience of working on live projects and final accounts.
* Experience of value engineering.
* Exposure to resolving disputes.
* Successfully completed a number of final accounts.
* Experience of procuring major works sub contracts.
* Professional membership of recognised institute e.g. RICS (desirable).
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages e.g. Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
* Experience of working in the water industry highly desirable.
* Demonstrate knowledge of previously working with CEMAR and COINS (desirable).
