Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is seeking applications from individuals for the role of temporary Payroll Officer within the Human Resources Department based at Service Headquarters, Carmarthen.
This is a temporary post until 31 March 2026.
The Role
The post holder will be responsible for delivering a quality and professional payroll and pensions service to all employees of Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of salaries, allowances, expenses, and other payroll related matters and administration of the Firefighters’ Pension Scheme(s) and the Local Government Pension Scheme.
To provide day-to-day supervision and provide guidance to the Payroll and Pension Assistants.
This is a full-time post working 37 hours per week with flexible hours in line with the Service’s flexi-time scheme.
