Headteacher – ASC School
Salary: up to £90,000
Location: Nuneaton

We are looking for passionate individuals to join us in supporting children, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, anxiety, and other social, emotional, and mental health needs.
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Headteacher to work within this school with a broad academic curriculum that includes the National Curriculum with a bespoke element for the students, ensuring that we continue to provide outstanding education tailored to their needs. This is a unique opportunity to shape and enhance a specialist setting where staff, students, and families work collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes.
Your Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic leadership and vision to drive the school’s development and continuous improvement.
* Foster an inclusive and supportive environment that meets the diverse needs of students with ASC.
* Lead and develop a team of skilled teaching and support staff, promoting best practices in SEND education.
* Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and curriculum development tailored to ASC students.
* Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to enhance student support.
* Maintain compliance with all statutory and regulatory educational requirements.
* Promote staff wellbeing and professional development to create a motivated and effective workforce.
* Oversee the school's safeguarding and behaviour management policies to ensure a safe learning environment.
Who we are looking for:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Headteacher experience in special educational needs (SEN), particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
* Proven leadership experience in a specialist or inclusive school setting.
* A deep understanding of ASC and a passion for championing neurodiverse learners.
* Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong partnerships with stakeholders.
* A commitment to continuous improvement and evidence-based educational practices.
