SEMH Teacher – Silverstone, Towcester
Start Date: January 2025 (or sooner)
Salary: 30000 to 39300 per annum
A highly reputable and supportive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school group is seeking a skilled and compassionate SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teacher to join their permanent staff team at their Silverstone site. The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment, dedicated to supporting young people with complex SEMH needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH difficulties.
* Work closely with support staff and therapists to create a positive, therapeutic learning environment.
* Manage challenging behaviour using de-escalation strategies and positive reinforcement.
* Monitor and assess student progress, adapting plans where necessary to support academic, social, and emotional development.
Essential Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience working with students with SEMH needs or within a similar SEN setting.
* Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing approach.
* Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
