Overview of the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled Director of International Business Development to lead global sales strategies across key markets, including Europe, Australia, Latin America, and the Middle East. This role is focused on driving business growth and managing international sales teams.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Market Development: Formulate and implement strategies to enter and grow in key international markets, including distribution and go-to-market plans.
2. Sales Growth: Develop and execute business development plans to achieve sales growth targets in multiple regions.
3. Customer Management: Oversee relationships with key international clients, identifying new opportunities within different sales channels.
4. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Market Managers across various regions, ensuring strong performance and cross-functional collaboration.
5. Customer Advocacy: Serve as a liaison with internal teams, including customer service and logistics, to ensure exceptional service and support for international clients.
6. Promotional Strategy: Design and manage international marketing and promotional strategies, ensuring alignment with market-specific needs and brand guidelines.
7. Budget Management: Oversee international SG&A budgets, ensuring alignment with growth targets and financial objectives.
Qualifications / Skills:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
2. 15+ years of international sales experience, with a strong track record in business development.
3. Leadership experience managing international teams across multiple regions.
4. Business acumen and negotiation skills, with proven success in driving sales growth.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build long-term relationships.
6. Experience managing diverse sales channels such as DIY retailers and pro-channel outlets.
7. MBA preferred, as well as familiarity with international market trends.
8. Multi-lingual candidates are a plus.
