Assistant Finance Business Partner - Maternity Cover
Location: Gateshead NE8 1NS
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum dependent on experience
The organisation is looking for the right candidate for the Assistant Finance Business Partner - Maternity Cover role. This role will be for a fixed term of 12 months and involves hybrid working from their registered office in Gateshead for 2 days and working from home for 3 days.
The right candidate will have finance experience, possibly studying right now or just finished studying, and previous experience working as part of a team. They should be hardworking, passionate, detail-oriented, self-motivated, analytical, and eager to learn. Ideally, they would have a charity sector background or experience in social housing or the care sector.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Business Partner (FBP), the Assistant Finance Business Partner (AFBP) will support the business in achieving effective financial management. The AFBP will work closely with the business to proactively provide relevant financial information and add value through financial analysis.
This includes:
1. Assisting in preparing the monthly Management Accounts - journals, variance analysis, and reporting.
2. Completing Balance Sheet reconciliations.
3. Assisting in the preparation and collating of the annual budgeting and reforecasting.
4. Income reconciliations.
5. Working closely with budget holders to help them monitor their financial performance.
6. Assisting in the year-end process and dealing with audit queries.
