Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer

Salary: Up to £58,000 depending on skills and experience
What you'll be doing:
* Provide subject matter expertise and advice to internal and external stakeholders on Systems Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering
* Ensuring the proposed design is captured within the requirements management tools and modelling environment at an appropriate level of authority
* Understand the Control & Instrumentation requirements for the platform and support the definition and associated acceptance criteria through the whole engineering lifecycle
* Liaising with internal and external stakeholders such as inter-business teams, MOD & industrial partners
* Working alongside and providing strategic direction for Systems Engineers
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Broad knowledge and experience of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle and Engineering Frameworks
* Experience developing solutions to meet complex technical requirements in a highly regulated industry/environment
* Previous mentoring/coaching experience of early career Engineers
* STEM Degree or equivalent qualification and experience within an engineering background
Desirable:
* Obtained or capable of obtaining relevant Professional Registration (CEng)
* Holding or capable of obtaining INCOSE accreditation (ASEP)

The Platform Complex Systems Team has experienced significant growth over the past 12 months, and this trend is set to continue. This is a pioneering role as we embark on creating Australia's first nuclear-powered boat, a project spanning three nations and several decades. As a key player in the initial design phase, you will have substantial influence, allowing you to leave a lasting legacy.
