About the role:
As an Autism Support Worker, you will provide personalised care and support to students with autism. This role gives you the opportunity to make a positive impact on their well-being and overall development as they follow their educational health care plans.
Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:
* Follow personalised care plans and lesson plans from the teacher to meet each student's unique needs.
* Create a supportive and inclusive environment that helps students become more independent and grow personally.
* Use good communication strategies to build trust and connect with students with autism.
* Work with a team of teachers and staff to provide complete support for students.
* Keep accurate records of each student’s progress and activities.
The Successful Candidate Will:
* Previous experience as an Autism Support Worker in a school or similar role is preferred.
* Understanding of autism spectrum conditions and effective support strategies.
* Great communication and people skills.
* Ability to adjust to the changing needs of students with autism.
* A caring and patient attitude when supporting students with different needs.
