Cambridge Design Partnership are looking for hardworking and dedicated Contractors who would be interested in joining our network of approved Contractor Engineers. At CDP our vision is to significantly improve and enrich lives through innovation. Working within our multidisciplinary teams on major development projects, you will be working in market sectors where we have developed deep expertise and can cross fertilise ideas. Currently these include Healthcare (highly regulated), Consumer products (consumer and brand focused) and Industrial solutions (technically focused). As a Contractor Electronics Engineer, you will drive innovative functionality into product and process developments, delivering real benefits to lives and to the planet. In the medical space, we improve human health with products such as the First Response Monitor which delivered biometric diagnostic monitoring to a challenging environment, winning two red dot awards in the process; a variety of therapeutic instruments and drug delivery platforms; and of course, diagnostic test devices helping us directly address the coronavirus pandemic today. In the consumer space, we create anything from toys to GPS systems and beyond, and have developed a specialism in demanding, hand-held, power constrained, and wearable products, each of which enriches the lives of their owners. For our industrial solutions, connectivity plays an increasing role, with products existing as part of a wider ecosystem, rather than a solution in their own right. Examples such as metering and measurement give direct benefit, whilst others target aspects such as production automation, resource management or renewable technologies, benefitting both the planet and humankind in the process. What ties all these developments together is a focus on improving lives through innovation, and a respect for elegant, simple and creative solutions. This role will offer you the perfect opportunity to work with our multi-disciplinary project teams while bringing your insight, creativity and technical knowledge to develop solutions for our clients. In return, your ingenuity will be rewarded with the satisfaction of seeing your ground-breaking new creations launched in the market.
