Energy and Utility Skills is looking for a strategic leader to assume the role of Head of EUSR.

About the role.
As a key member of the Energy & Utility Skills senior leadership team, you will be instrumental in delivering the organisation’s vision and strategy. In this role, you will lead by example, setting the tone for collaboration, inclusive leadership, and championing organisational change. Your leadership will help drive operational excellence, particularly in delivering high-quality, efficient, cost-effective services to all EUSR customers. You will oversee the continuous improvement of people, processes, and performance, ensuring that the services we provide align with the evolving needs of our stakeholders.
Your role will involve leading the EUSR team to ensure that our training programmes and assessments, quality assurance approach and processes, service delivery and customer service are delivered at a high standard and are regularly reviewed. Additionally, you will engage proactively with key stakeholders and employer groups, ensuring that EUSR training programmes and assessment meet their requirements. A key part of your responsibilities will be to optimise the use of systems and technology to enhance the development, management, and delivery of EUSR services, ensuring operational efficiency and excellence in customer service.
Who we are looking for.
We seek an accomplished professional with extensive experience in a senior operational or quality assurance role within an Ofqual-recognised awarding organisation. You will have a proven track record in leading teams to deliver high-quality customer service and operational excellence. Your experience in managing relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers will be crucial in ensuring we continue delivering effective, high-volume services that meet industry needs.
You are a natural leader, capable of setting clear direction and motivating others collaboratively and inclusively. Your commercial awareness and focus on customer needs will ensure that you consistently deliver results that meet the expectations of both our customers and the wider organisation. Strong decision-making skills, combined with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels, will be essential in guiding complex projects and making sound strategic decisions that benefit the organisation as a whole.
