Are looking for a Deputy Manager in a children’s home playing an important leadership role in ensuring high standards of care, safety, and support for children and young people.
Job Title: Deputy Manager
Deputy Manager: Children’s Home (Learning Difficulties)
Reports To: Registered Manager
Working Hours: 7am - 4pm Monday to Friday as standard with agreed cover.
Salary: up to £37000 Per Year
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management
Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.
Act as the Manager in their absence, ensuring continuity of care and leadership.
Supervise and support the staff team, conducting regular supervisions, appraisals, and team meetings.
Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff members.
Promote a positive and inclusive culture, leading by example in professional practice.
Safeguarding and Compliance
Ensure the home operates in line with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., Ofsted in the UK).
Act as a Designated Safeguarding Officer or support the Safeguarding Lead in managing safeguarding concerns.
Monitor risk assessments, incident reports, and safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety of all children.
Liaise with external professionals (e.g., social workers, schools, health services) to safeguard and promote the well-being of the children....
