Job Description:
Aspiring Educational Psychologist role in a specialist school for children with profound severe and complex learning difficulties.
Are you interested in supporting children with mental health issues and special educational needs? The school has three sites for pupils aged 2 to 19 years and is looking for bright and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants available to start immediately.
They require support for children with co-occurring needs, including behaviour and mental health issues, autistic spectrum condition, severe physical disabilities, and highly complex medical conditions.
Due to the complex needs of the students, ideally, you will have relevant, recent experience or qualifications. Candidates qualified in Psychology, Counselling, or Criminology are preferred, but other subjects will also be considered.
This is a fantastic opportunity for any Psychology Graduate to work alongside therapists and psychologists based on-site at the school. You will be mentored and have the opportunity to shadow sessions and learn from them. Plus, you will gain invaluable experience working with Special Needs and Mental Health issues.
