About The Role We are looking for a dynamic person who has experience in collection of debt who is able to have difficult conversations with people around charges for services for Homecare or Residential Placements and Day Care and Respite services. The role will involve home visits to assist people to complete Finance forms and ensure that these are done in a timely way and presented to our finance team so correct charges can be calculated. You will be responsible for developing a process within the Council to avoid future debt occurring. Knowledge of finances desirable but training can be given. Initially this will be a fixed contract for 1 year but may lead to further extension. Multi agency working is an essential part of the role as we work closely with Hospitals, Care Providers, Care Homes and Social Care staff, you will be working on your own but will have support from the Commissioning Team Manager and the Commissioning Finance Team. Candidate Profile You will work as part of the Brokerage and Commissioning Team, based at Civic Offices Bexleyheath but will involve visits in the community and may involve visits outside of the Borough. The attention to detail is paramount to ensure correct funding is in place at the start of the service. You will be chasing up Court of Protection applications and have systems set up to ensure monitoring of this. You will also be following up Power of Attorney applications and any other application regarding funding for services. A relevant qualification in a social or health care profession or relevant experience in this field is required.
