Job Details You will be responsible for carrying out a range of surveying duties associated with major, minor and component replacement contracts and ‘task book’ schedule projects, encompassing partnering arrangements with Housing, Property, Social Works and other Council services. Utilising electronic cost control systems and other costing/billing framework agreements, arrangements and protocols for reporting purposes, as agreed with internal and external clients. Undertaking surveys on mechanical and electrical installations, providing technical guidance to operational staff and producing brief specifications for minor works projects on an ad-hoc basis. The Person If you meet the essential qualification criteria outlined below, we’d like to hear from you: Educated to SCQF level 7 in Quantity Surveying or equivalent. Technical background in either mechanical or electrical disciplines with good understanding of relevant regulations and statutory requirements. Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office software packages, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook. You should have experience of working as part of a team and have a sound knowledge of Building Construction and Systems. The ability to travel throughout Fife.
