If you are an experienced HCA with a passion for making the patient journey as comfortable as possible, we have just the role for you.
We are looking for an Inpatient Healthcare Assistant to join the team in our Practice Plus Group Hospital, Ilford.
Working as a Health Care Assistant, you'll provide support to the nursing staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of a high standard of care to patients in a safe and caring environment.
Above all, you have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling and want to work in an environment where the work can be hard, but also fun and rewarding.
This Vacancy is 37.5 hours a week, the shifts are long and run from 7am - 7.30pm
What you'll be doing
You will be a valued member of the Ward team, supporting the professional staff with the overall care for all patients in the department. You will welcome and greet patients to the department, assist in preparing patients for Theatre, informing the Nurse in charge of any potential worries or issues.
Ensuring all patient test results are in patients' files for surgery, ensuring all patient medication is locked in the medical drawer, and assisting in the ordering and monitoring of stores and stock.
We are looking for someone who is willing to work hard, learn and develop in the role, but most importantly someone who understands the value of teamwork and a good work ethic.
* Experience or a good understanding of HCA duties and responsibilities
* Experience in caring for others
* The ability to receive and communicate information accurately and take instruction from professional colleagues
* Professional telephone manner

The ideal applicant will have:
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care and be willing to undertake training to gain further clinical skills
* Experience or a good understanding of HCA duties and responsibilities
* The ability to receive and communicate information accurately and take instruction from professional colleagues
* The flexibility to fit into internal rotating shift patterns
