We are looking to appoint an Administrator to work within the support team and with the Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs) based within the Sunrise Centre. Candidates must have excellent administration skills with excellent communication and people skills, ideally with a good understanding of NHS healthcare systems and processes. This is a 2 year fixed term post working full time 37.5 hours per week over 5 days.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a growing team to carry out a varied range of tasks to assist with the support worker and CNS workload, including managing phone calls, clinic preparation, expediting diagnostic imaging, Holistic needs assessment administration, providing patients with information and general coordination of patient's pathways.
This position will require development of knowledge in a number of areas such as the diagnosis and treatment pathways of cancer patients, providing an opportunity to progress within the department over time as the administrator will be involved in all aspects of the department's work, learning all the relevant systems and processes and possibly supporting and working with the wider cancer services team such as the support workers and Allied Health Professionals.
The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, well-organised, and able to work as part of a team or independently. It is essential that the successful candidate is keen to learn new skills.
