The Role
As Distribution Purchasing Coordinator, you will participate in all aspects of Purchasing. Working in an organised and accurate manner, you will be responsible for expediting purchase orders and making sure they arrive in a timely manner.
In addition, you will:
* Calculate the best source for an item we are purchasing, finding new vendors where necessary and generating purchase orders.
* Confirm purchase orders with price, part number and lead-time establishing consistent order follow up by contacting vendors to assure orders are being processed in a timely manner and meet required delivery dates.
* Handle all discrepancies such as price, part numbers, and lead-times; adjust purchase orders and/or sales orders accordingly. Inform the relevant person of any changes.
* Ensure purchase orders and unconfirmed PO’s are followed up within our 48-hour time frame that was put into place.
* Assist in customer expedites when needed, vendor expedites and enquiries about purchases to Radwell by phone, email or through other means in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
* Assist in placing purchase orders with vendors or online.
* Assist in the purchasing of non-stock items.
* Resolve issues.
About You
Being proficient with Microsoft, and with excellent time management, you will bring your previous Purchasing experience to the position, meaning the in-depth training you receive from us will be bolstered by your own knowledge and experience. Furthermore, you will have:
* Proficiency in Excel, Outlook and Internet searching.
* Problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Ability to work in a timely and concise manner.
* Work well in a team environment.
* Able to maintain confidential information.
* Experience in purchasing advantageous but not essential.
If you speak any languages other than English at a fluent level, that would be advantageous to your application; Radwell operates internationally, so any other languages you can speak will always be helpful in this role.
