Role Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising lessons in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged with pre-set work, and maintaining a positive learning environment. This role is ideal for individuals considering a career in teaching or those with experience working with young people in educational settings. Full training and support will be provided. Key Responsibilities: Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and resources provided by teaching staff. Manage classroom behavior and ensure a calm, focused environment for learning. Provide guidance and support to students to help them complete their assigned work. Liaise with teaching staff and the senior leadership team regarding student progress and behavior. Uphold the school’s policies and values, promoting a safe and inclusive environment. Requirements for the Role: A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above). Previous experience working with young people (e.g., in schools, youth work, or coaching). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage behavior effectively and maintain a positive learning atmosphere. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. While not essential, a degree or experience in education or a related field is highly desirable.
