Management Accountant - Ancillary Hub
Do you want to become part of one of the UK's largest Motor Retailers? We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join our Ancillary Hub based at our Head Office in Gateshead.
This is a full-time, permanent role working 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday based in Vertu House, Team Valley, Gateshead. We are offering a basic salary up to £34,000 depending on experience.
Working within the Ancillary Businesses division of Vertu Motors plc, the primary area of responsibility for the Management Accountant is to assist and/or deputise for the Accountant in achieving accurate and timely accounting information. This will incorporate maintaining sound financial controls, maintaining Group processes, driving financial process improvements, and delivering a consistent approach as the business needs dictate.
The role would suit an ambitious and energetic team member who will thrive working on their own initiative in a dynamic and varied role to achieve the required objectives. Tasks will include:
1. Daily Stock Reconciliations
2. Weekly debtor report
3. Cash flow forecast
4. Managing the small team working in Vertu House
5. Preparing mid-month forecasts, estimates, and management accounts
6. Supporting the Accountant and other senior management in other projects as required
The candidate should have a solid technical knowledge of accounts and show a willingness to learn and develop their own career. Communication and IT skills need to be of a high level and attention to detail is key. Experience working in a multi-faceted business would be an advantage, while Automotive industry experience and Kerridge (CDK accounting software) proficiency is desirable, but not essential if the candidate has the right attitude.
