* Job Type: Temporary (until October half term, with the possibility to extend)
We are seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join our secondary school team as soon as possible. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about history and eager to inspire a love of learning about the past in young minds.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging history lessons to students in line with the national curriculum.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and tailored support to ensure academic development.
* Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and active participation among students.
* Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
* Participate in departmental meetings, sharing insights and strategies to improve teaching practices and student outcomes.
* Utilise a variety of teaching resources and technologies to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching history at the secondary level.
* Strong knowledge of the current curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to motivate and inspire students.
* Commitment to professional development and staying updated with educational research and best practices.
