Our client is one of the UK's longest established woodworking machine suppliers. Due to substantial growth and continued investment in new CNC machinery, our client is seeking an ambitious, reliable and technical based Woodworking Manual/CNC Field Service Engineer to join their existing UK service team.
Our client requires the successful candidate to cover their clients throughout the South-Midlands region, including Peterborough, Cambridge, Luton, London, Ramsgate etc. Please only apply if you are happy to cover these areas on a weekly basis.

Roles and Responsibilities
1. Travel to various customer sites and carry out servicing and troubleshooting on various manual and CNC based woodworking machinery.
2. Attend various training courses on how to identify, service and commission CNC machinery.
3. Ensure the correct ordering of spare machine tool parts.
4. Liaise directly with clients and provide ongoing technical support and solutions.
5. Assist the site maintenance team with the installation and commissioning of brand-new machinery.
6. Maintain up to date knowledge of machinery within the non-ferrous, plastics and composites industry.
7. Produce daily detailed fault reports and CAD diagrams and ensure documents are correctly stored using MS Office software.
8. Demonstrate to new clients how to correctly and safely operate woodworking machinery.
9. Read and follow instructions from engineering drawings and CAD diagrams.
Qualifications and Experience
1. HNC/City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
2. Proven experience in servicing and repairing manual and CNC based woodworking machinery.
3. Knowledge and experience of operating CNC machinery would be an advantage.
4. Proficient IT and CAD software skills.
5. Passionate about embracing new technology and committed to carrying out ongoing training.
6. Flexible with occasional UK travel.
7. Full UK driving license.
