Wates have an opportunity for an Assistant Surveyor to join our Residential team in Brighton.
Wates Residential is a developer contractor; we invest, develop, build and sell quality affordable housing, either contracting or in a form of partnership with Local Authorities, Registered Providers and public bodies.
Our Assistant Surveyors are a valuable part of our business, where they support the team on a project or cluster of packages for the development and implementation of all pre and post contract strategies, commercial functions and contract reporting. Assistant Surveyors work collaboratively with our customers and industry specialists with a firm focus on added value, compliance, commercial viability, and best practice.

As an Assistant Surveyor, you will:
* Produce commercial reports both internally and externally to the company.
* Ensure the timely receipt of quotations for materials, equipment and Sub-subcontract works, undertake commercial assessment of quotes received and ensure the timely placement of orders on commercially advantageous terms to facilitate project delivery and ensure business objectives are met.
* Regularly complete on-site measurements/take offs.
* Ensure all contractual processes are completed on time including valuation and payment notices for subcontractors.
The team is looking for a confident communicator who already has some experience gained in a similar role, which includes the areas highlighted above, as well as being part or fully HNC/HND or Degree qualified.
