Role description:
Our Intern & Placement programme is designed to give you a hands-on insight into the work we do as a company and help to develop skills and knowledge within your chosen field. Supported by signposted training, the programme is based on Arcadis core values, giving you both technical training and support to help you develop both personally and professionally whilst with us. You will be exposed to real projects and clients and given a range of experiences to immerse yourself into over the course of your 1012-week internship or 12 month placement.
Role accountabilities:
Our Transport Planners look at ways to plan, improve, manage, and design transport systems at a local, regional, and national level. We provide the building blocks to improving and delivering infrastructure for the future, whilst considering a wide range of issues such as safety, climate change, the economy, and the environment. You will assist in the delivery of project related tasks and will be able to learn new technical skills focusing on innovation, sustainability, and digital solutions.
1. Accepted Degrees: BEng/BSc/MEng/ MSc in - Transport Planning, Transport Planning & Engineering, Transport & the Environment, Geography, Urban Planning, Maths, Economics, Engineering (any description), computer science etc.
Qualifications & Experience:
2. You will be working towards a degree in a relevant subject
3. You will demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player
4. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
5. Willing to travel and stay away from homewhen required (where possible we embrace virtual working)
