Base pay range
Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 per annum DOE
Hours: 30hrs per week
Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join their friendly and enthusiastic team at their purpose-built residential rehabilitation centre in Preston. This centre offers a safe and comfortable environment for the people they support to thrive, maximising independence and supporting their social and emotional needs.
The centre is equipped with a wide range of facilities to help support the delivery of expert care, including a dedicated rehabilitation kitchen, a hydrotherapy pool, and a gym.
Main Responsibilities:
* To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work including the management of service users in their care.
* To undertake comprehensive assessments of service users, using investigative and analytical skills to formulate individualised rehabilitation and treatment plans.
* To promote choice in all aspects of clinical practice, enhancing the service users’ experience.
* To liaise and communicate with other health and social care professionals in the planning and delivery of occupational therapy.
* To ensure appropriate provision and maintenance of equipment.
* To maintain written and electronic records in accordance with Professional standards.
* To demonstrate clinical leadership and promote clinical supervision.
* To share knowledge and expertise with other staff through teaching.
* To be responsible for raising awareness of clinical governance and implementing relevant policies.
* To maintain a safe working environment and service user confidentiality.
About You
* Diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy
* Current and valid Registration with Health & Care Professions Council
* Relevant post-graduate training in appropriate specialty
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Experience of working in a relevant setting
* Demonstrable experience of using evidence-based practice
* Skilled knowledge of therapy assessments and interventions.
* Ability to work autonomously and manage risk.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
