Mobile Gas Engineer – Oldham
A leading facilities management company is recruiting for a Gas Engineer based in Oldham. This is a permanent, full-time role working 37 hours per week, as well as being required to participate in an on-call rota.
General Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out gas engineering duties in compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and procedures. You will assist the team in delivering high-quality work that meets contractual requirements while maintaining safety standards. Adherence to all SHEQ policies and strategies is essential.
The role involves servicing gas appliances, including boilers, fires, and cookers, in a timely and safe manner. You will also diagnose and repair breakdowns, aiming to achieve a first-time fix. Participation in an on-call rota to cover out-of-hours breakdowns is required.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out servicing, breakdowns, and installations safely and efficiently.
* Maintain and care for company tools and calibrated equipment.
* Use appropriate safety equipment.

Who We Are Looking For
Qualifications:
* Domestic Gas ACS Elements: CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, MET1, CMDDA1
* Unvented Hot Water Elements: U/VHW
* Water Regulations 1999 Certification (WR1)
* City & Guilds Craft Certificate and Advanced Craft Certificate in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent)
Skills and Abilities:
* Excellent organisational skills
* A full and valid UK driving licence
* A professional attitude and approach to work
Experience:
* Up-to-date industry-related knowledge
* Familiarity with current Health and Safety legislation
* Minimum of two years' experience in a similar role
