Oakpark Security is currently seeking dedicated and customer-focused Helpdesk Operators to work at our Head Office Control Room in Colchester due to recent company expansion.
The primary responsibilities will include conducting hourly check calls with our security team members working in the field, receiving alarm activations from various monitoring stations, and dispatching and tasking mobile response officers accordingly. Additionally you will be responsible for several administrative tasks, such as completing reports, and covering open shifts. A comprehensive training and induction programme will be provided.
This role requires strong customer service skills, excellent telephone etiquette, and the ability to work with computers for extended periods. The shift pattern is 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off, averaging 42 hours per week at a pay rate of £12.50 per hour. The shift pattern is days and nights with shifts 0600-1800 and 18:00-06:00.
Bank holidays worked will be compensated at double the standard rate. While a driving license is preferred, it is not essential. All applicants must hold a valid SIA license.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct hourly check calls with security team members working in the field

* Perform basic administrative tasks, including report completion, roster management, and covering open shifts
* Demonstrate excellent telephone manner and communication skills
* Comfortably work with computers for extended periods of time
* Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
Requirements:
* A valid SIA license is mandatory (Security Guarding or Door Supervision)
* Strong customer service skills and a customer-focused mindset
* Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills
* Proficient in working with computers and technology
* Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Flexibility to work 4 on 4 off night shifts, 4 on 4 off day shifts or relief position with a mixture of both.
* A driving license is preferred but not essential
