Job Description As a Mechanical Equipment Engineer working on nuclear projects in a client design office environment, your key responsibilities will include: Assist the Engineering lead (EL) in resolving technical issues related to equipment design, manufacturing, and qualification, while ensuring compliance with specifications through surveillance of design documentation. Collaborate with other Mechanical Design Engineers to assure design interfaces (electrical, process and I&C) between the turnkey contract and wider plant. Help manage interfaces between the Contractors equipment within the scope of supply and interfacing systems, contracts and buildings, while communicating effectively with the service contractor, client, and all other stakeholders. Support the EL in risk management, configuration management, and preparation of governance meetings, including handling of Contract Transfer Sheets (CTS's), Design Modifications (UKDCs), and Referential Evolution Requests (RER). Assist the EL in responding to supplier requests such as RFI's, IQs, or ERs, with appropriate assistance and sign-off from CEL as required. Contribute to the development of action plans for Design Open Points (OP) and assist in the preparation of annual surveillance reports.
