Technical Support Engineer
Location: Stroud
Hours: 39 Hours per week - Day Shift, typically 7:30am to 4pm (Mon – Thu), Friday 7:30am to 3pm. 30 mins daily unpaid break
Job Overview
The Technical Support Engineer is a key component of the Stroud Technical Team, supporting the Technical, Quality and Laboratory Management with both Technical, Administrational and Practical support as required.
Assisting with specific projects and defined daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
1. Creation of Process Data Cards for the Treatments and Paint Facilities.
2. Supporting the Technical Team to interpret and deliver on customer requirements.
3. Maintaining Technical and Quality documentation.
4. Physical support to Operations and Laboratory (as required), with qualification and surveillance of processes and procedures.
5. Potential for Auditing of Company Processes and Operating Procedures.
6. Promoting a safety-first culture.
7. Supporting Continuous Improvement Activities around the company.
Reporting Structure
The Technical Support Engineer will report to the Technical Manager and work alongside and support the wider Technical, Quality and Laboratory Management Team.
Person Specification - Essential
1. Relevant Technical Qualification E.g. Science / Chemistry to A Level Standard (or equivalent), IMF Foundation and/or 3 years relevant experience.
2. Ability to prioritise and meet conflicting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
3. At least a basic understanding of Microsoft Office software and comfortable with the use of computer-based manufacturing systems and reporting.
Person Specification - Desirable
1. Experience of working in an AS9100 approved (Aerospace) environment.
2. Formal & relevant additional training.
