Halas Homes is a care home for adults with learning disabilities. The overall aim of the job is to make the use of care services a positive, timely and rewarding choice. Role Summary The Team Leader will oversee the day-to-day operations of their assigned service, ensuring high-quality care and compliance with regulatory standards. They will provide leadership, supervision, and support to staff while promoting the well-being, independence, and dignity of the people we support. Key Responsibilities: Care Delivery: Provide hands-on personal care as required. Administer and oversee medication management, including audits. Ensure compliance with care plans and promote person-centred care. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Oversee and ensure timely submission of CQC notifications. Lead safeguarding efforts, including identifying and addressing risks. Conduct care plan reviews and audits to maintain quality standards. Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and support staff to ensure competency and high performance. Conduct direct observations and competency checks for team members. Deliver training as a "Train the Trainer" in at least two areas. Address complaints as the first point of contact, ensuring swift resolution. Health and Safety: Conduct regular health and safety checks within the service. Promote a safe and positive environment for staff and service users. Professional Interaction: Liaise effectively with external professionals, families, and stakeholders. Maintain clear, professional communication across the team and with management. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in a care or support setting, ideally in supported living or residential care. Strong knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding protocols. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to deliver training and mentor staff effectively. Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities. Competence in care planning and auditing processes. Relevant qualifications in health and social care (e.g., NVQ Level 4 or equivalent). Experience of managing rotas. Experience of working with Digital care planning. Desirable: Train the Trainer qualification in two or more areas. Experience in conducting health and safety checks. Experience of working with Person centred software. Work Hours: Full-Time (Residential Care Home): 37.5 hours per week, including some weekends and on-call duties. Be part of on call rota.
