Buying Assistant
Location – Horwich, Bolton
Hours Monday – Thursday 9.00am – 5.00pm Friday 9.00 am - 1.00pm
Salary Per Annum £ 27,500 + Bonus
25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
My client are privately owned company and have now been established for over 10 years. They supply luxury products into a variety of retailers so operate on a business to business basis. Due to a period of growth, they are now looking to expand their Buying team.
Role Responsibilities include:
* Liaise with suppliers daily to track samples, orders, production etc
* Manage orders, from sampling to order placement and managing the shipment and deliveries of orders
* Process purchase orders from suppliers using excel and Sage 50
* Assist with customer bespoke orders and samples ensuring to fulfil customer requirements
* Product sample management for buying, sales and photography, including management of sample stock room and distribution when required
* Update product specifications on excel with product data, prices, and order quantities
* Keep track of the buying critical path and update with accurate shipment and delivery dates
* Process invoices and shipping documents from suppliers
* Liaise with freight forwarders to manage sea / air freight shipments from China to UK
* Book in deliveries into the warehouse, receive goods in on Sage 50 and deal with delivery queries and discrepancies
* Q.C inspection control with suppliers in China
* FSC management
* Supplier audit management (EUTR, BSCI, SEDEX etc)
* Assist with other duties in the sales office as required
What’s required:
* Experience of working in a buying environment is required
* Excel experience is essential
* Attention to detail is an absolute essential
* Experience using Sage 50 is valuable
* High level of numeracy is required
* Ability to communicate at all levels
* Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
* UK driving licence is essential
