Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated behavioural support assistant to join a primary school in the OL6 area. This is a full-time position starting from Monday 6th January 2025 on an ongoing basis.
As a behaviour support assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting children in Lower Key Stage 2 (LKS2) supporting pupils who struggle to access the curriculum. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assist in managing classroom behaviour and implementing behaviour management strategies.
- Provide one-on-one support and group interventions to students who require additional help.
- Work closely with teachers and parents to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to behaviour management.
Requirements
- Experience in working with challenging behaviours.
- Understanding of SEN.
- A positive role model.
- Calm, nurturing personality with the ability to diffuse challenging situations.
- Ability to use various techniques in behaviour management.
- Be able to implement strong boundaries.
- Relevant qualifications and previous experience preferred, but not essential.
