Churchill Estates Management (CEM) is a progressive retirement property management business, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Churchill Retirement Plc.
CEM has grown year on year since launching in 2006 and now manage more than 220 retirement developments, 9,000 apartments, supporting over 11,000 retired people nationally.
We employ a team of 40 Colleagues in our Head Office in Ringwood, who provide vital centralised services including Accounts, Property Management, Customer Service, Administration and Marketing. We have around 230 Lodge Managers who work onsite at the Lodges and are responsible for the day to day running of the properties, supported by a team of experienced Regional and Area Managers.
In addition, we provide an emergency call service for our Customers through Careline Support Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of CEM.

About the role
We are seeking a commercially minded Managing Director who will input into and implement the growth strategy of the business. It is therefore important that you are a proven business leader who thrives in a dynamic service orientated company with the ability to take all Colleagues on that journey.
By joining CEM you will have the benefit of becoming Managing Director of an already successful and profitable business with a strong leadership team. In the short term you will spend time understanding our business model, Colleagues and Customers, before applying your experience and expertise to take CEM forward to achieve its strategic goals.
Reporting into our Executive Board your key responsibilities include:
1. Set and implement the strategy to grow both turnover and, more importantly, profit;
2. Full P & L management for the business including budget setting and monitoring performance;
3. Management of business operations and annualised commercial performance;
4. Inspire, lead and manage a dispersed workforce including both your direct line reports and those you lead through the senior management team;
5. Drive innovation across the business looking for new avenues to generate and diversify income streams, whilst enhancing our service offering; and
6. Be a visible leader to all aspects of the Company

About you
You will be a Senior Professional from a Property Management, Building Surveying, Facilities or Housing Management background. You will have a good understanding of how to run and manage P & L and the proven ability to develop strategies and translate these into initiatives and track the successful delivery.
In addition, you must be able to demonstrate commercial success and decision making and show experience of delivering operational excellence, analytical thinking, process improvement, problem-solving, delegation, and planning. We are looking for a true leader of people, who will enjoy working in a service orientated business that prides themselves on a positive customer experience.
You will also have the proven capability of managing change, developing commercial opportunities – and be focussed equally on the people, customer and commercial agendas.
Our new Managing Director will be agile in responding to evolving business priorities and remove any ambiguity. You will be confident collaborating across the organisation including senior executives and board directors, maintaining open lines of communication at all times.
