An opportunity has arisen for a Domestic Cleaner to become part of our DCHS Domestic Team based at Whitworth Hospital, Matlock.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team member who is motivated, eager to learn and develop, and wants to make a difference to our patients' experience, demonstrating values and personal qualities that support the DCHS way of working.

We require a domestic assistant to work 16 hours per week. This will be on a rota basis working 4 days per week covering 6.00am - 10.00am shifts and will include weekends and Bank Holidays over 7 days.
Although previous experience is desirable, this is not essential as full training is provided.
Main duties of the job
* To provide a high-quality domestic cleaning service to hospital, health centre, and clinic settings.
* Working either individually or as part of a team to ensure a clean and safe environment is maintained for patients, staff, and visitors in accordance with the National Standards of Cleanliness.
* To follow a work schedule whilst being flexible, being prepared to work at other sites should service demands dictate.
* Cleaning of sanitary ware, treatment rooms, waiting, office and kitchen areas, mirrors, high and low dusting, washing tiled surfaces and paintwork, curtain changing.
* Ensure incidents are raised and recorded accurately, within required timeframes, via the appropriate system (e.g., Datix).
* Care and safe use of mechanical equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers).
* Replenishing disposable items (e.g., hand towels) and ensuring correct use and storage of cleaning agents and equipment.
* Disposal of waste in accordance with the Trust Waste Policy.
* Accurate completion of documentation (e.g., own time sheet and Barrier or Terminal cleans).
* Comply with Infection Control policy/guidelines including the colour coding system.
* Be aware of site security whilst undertaking duties (e.g., closing of windows and doors securely).
* Wear protective clothing.
* Maintain equipment and materials in a clean, tidy condition and report any faulty equipment in a timely manner.
* Comply with Health and Safety regulations.
* Attend all required Trust and service-specific training.
* Demonstrate and explain working practices to new starters.
