Job Title: Dental Receptionist and Treatment Coordinator

Smile Manchester is seeking a friendly, organised, and professional Dental Receptionist / Treatment Coordinator to join our growing team. This dual-role position will be the first point of contact for our patients, responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing various front desk duties, and assisting patients in understanding their treatment options.
Responsibilities:
* Warmly greet patients upon arrival, schedule appointments, and coordinate treatment consultations.
* Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and take messages.
* Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
* Assist patients with completing necessary paperwork and updating contact information.
* Confirm appointments and provide appointment reminders to patients.
* Coordinate with dental team members, optimise appointment schedules, and guide patients through their treatment plans.
* Educate patients on treatment options, costs, and financing solutions to support informed decisions.
* Calculate and collect patient payments, process insurance claims when necessary.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and professional front desk area.
* Perform general administrative tasks, such as photocopying, scanning, and filing.
* Stay current with office procedures, dental policies, and patient care protocols.
* Contribute to a positive, welcoming atmosphere for patients and team members.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Previous experience as a dental receptionist, treatment coordinator, or in a customer service role is preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and dental practice management software, SOE.
* Knowledge of dental terminology.
* Ability to maintain a professional and friendly demeanour under pressure.
