As we embark on the recruitment process for our fourth year of opening, our staff team is looking forward to moving into our brand new school building at the permanent site and engaging with the community to forge meaningful and lasting links. The specific responsibilities of the successful applicant will include:
1. Managing the behaviour, welfare, attendance and academic achievement of students within a designated year group.
2. As a DSL, dealing with any Safeguarding concerns for the students within their year group.
3. Working closely with students, parents and staff to remove barriers to learning progress; the post holder will lead a team of tutors to support the development of high standards in all aspects of pupil behaviour, attitude and learning culture.
4. Regularly analysing data to inform and implement proactive, as well as reactive, intervention, mentoring or counselling to ensure our learning ethos develops a culture of support and pastoral care where every child can blossom and make rapid progress.
5. Liaising with the SENDCo to ensure the learning needs of SEND pupils are well catered for.
6. Working as part of the wider Careers team to coordinate opportunities for their year group to access information, advice and guidance.
The post holder will work alongside the Principal in achieving the five-year strategic vision of the school. This will include developing Academy-wide strategies for pastoral support and working with the Inclusion Team as the school grows. They will work hard to ensure that all children in the school excel from whatever their starting point and will be fully committed to going above and beyond to ensure our students receive the very best in terms of opportunity, education, and care. Collaboration and CPL are of high importance within the Trust; therefore, a robust programme of training will be provided, particularly for areas where candidates have less experience.
