Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for a Food Production Operative to join their busy client in Dunstable on a full-time permanent basis. To be considered for this role you MUST be able to work on both early and late shifts.
The successful candidate will assist the Production Supervisor and Senior Operative in managing resources in the Packing or Process Area to ensure safe, efficient production, meeting quality standards, and minimizing wastage.
Shifts Pattern & Pay Rate:
* 2 weeks Early: between 6.00am and 2.00pm - Monday to Friday (with a 30-minute unpaid break). GBP13.79 per hour standard / GBP20.69 per hour overtime
* 1 week Late: between 1.45pm and 11.45pm Monday to Thursday (with a 30-minute unpaid break). GBP15.58 per hour standard / GBP23.37 per hour overtime
This role involves:
* Ensure timely completion of food safety and health checks, escalating issues as needed.
* Adhere to all Health, Food Safety, and GMP policies.
* Maintain compliance with product specifications and quality standards, including external audits.
* Manage data collection systems and communication with cross-functional teams.
* Optimize production output and identify areas for improvement.
* Meet KPIs, report reasons for discrepancies.
* Control costs, yields, and waste within the department.
* Maintain food safety culture and address concerns.
* Collaborate with the H&S Team to improve standards.
* Perform daily equipment checks.
* Safely load and unload vehicles, ensuring quality requirements are met.
* Oversee stock management, including space allocation and handling non-conforming stock.
* Support cycle counts and stock takes.
* Achieve and improve GMP scores.
To be considered for this role you must have / be:
* Previous production operative experience working in the either food/drink, pharmaceutical, cosmetics industries.
* Strong communication skills.
* Self-Motivated.
* Enthusiasm and the ability to learn quickly.
* Good organisational skills.
* Team player.
* Able to work on both early and late shifts.
