We are looking for an individual who is deeply passionate about quality assurance, governance and controls - someone who wants to ensure things go right first time round and that Utility Warehouse is delivering fair customer outcomes. You’ll be a self-starter who isn’t afraid to find their own way and continuously ask questions. A key part of the role is having a high level of attention to detail, proactively seeking out issues before they become real.
You’ll come with experience in working in a regulated environment, constantly delivering against regulatory requirements. Risk management knowledge is key, as is experience of issues management and building quality assurance frameworks.

Whilst small, the team has the ability to deliver great impact. We are a friendly and newly formed team with the opportunity to build something that is increasingly important to UW. This role will give you a chance to shape the future for assurance for UW.
You’ll be working closely with Financial Services Governance, Customers Services, Customer Escalations and the Regulations teams.

One of our teams’ priorities is to increase our assurance capability to make sure that we are meeting all of our internal and external compliance and regulation. We have a very good relationship with Ofgem and Ofcom but there is a need to be more proactive in building a control environment that we can showcase to them. This role is an amazing opportunity to own, create and deliver something that will add extra protection so we get things right the first time.
Working alongside the Financial Services Governance team and the Legal and Compliance team, you’ll be building an energy control framework based on our current model in Financial Services. You’ll also be working on issues management for Energy and Telco, documenting our risks and building training and competency frameworks.
