An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and motivated registered nurse to join the existing team on Ward 410 (Acute Stroke Unit) at Royal Derby Hospital.
If you are a newly qualified or experienced Registered Nurse with an interest in, or wanting to develop your knowledge and expertise in Stroke Care and management, then this is the post for you.
Main duties of the job
Come and join the Nursing team of the Acute Stroke Unit Ward 410 at Royal Derby Hospital, and YOU can make a difference to delivery of care and the patient experience.
We are a 38 bedded ward, which includes an 8 bedded HASU area and 30 Acute Stroke Beds. We operate a 24hr thrombolysis service for acute stroke patients within a wide catchment area.
The function of the ward is to assess, investigate, treat and discharge or transfer patients to the most appropriate setting following their acute episode of care.
There is an enthusiastic multi-professional team providing a high standard of care to our patients.
You must be a Registered General Nurse preferably with experience as a Staff Nurse in an acute setting, although opportunities are available for newly qualified Nurses.
We need someone who wishes to make an impact and be part of our innovative service providing frontline care.
