The Company
Our client is a successful construction principal contractor who works nationally from their multiple offices across the country. They are looking to appoint a Site Manager to manage a fast track project refurbishing and extending, including mini piling, a public house in Whaley Bridge. Their success has led to a sharp increase in turnover. The Company aims to continue with their growth over the coming financial year. They have developed an excellent reputation for themselves in market sectors including: Hotel, Retail, Leisure, and Public Houses. They are an entirely relationship-driven business and pride themselves on the fact that over 70% of their workload is negotiated with existing clients that they have built relationships with.
The Site Manager Role
This role is suitable for a Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager looking to work in a more dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be expected to execute the designated role to the agreed programme, in line with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards expected by the client and company.
The position will be managing a site in Whaley Bridge, SK23 that will run for approximately 8 weeks. The project is the fast track refurbishment and extension including mini piling of an existing public house.
It is expected that the successful applicant will be capable of running the project on a day-to-day basis with the assistance of a visiting Contracts Manager. As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of the project with both refurbishment and extension elements from inception to completion.
Responsibilities include:
1. Managing the project on site
2. Managing the build program
3. Some inductions if required
4. Managing Health and Safety
5. Working closely with all sub-contractors to ensure projects finish on time
6. Liaising on all levels to ensure effective communication is always maintained
The ideal candidate will have previously managed fast track refurbishment sites within the construction and refurbishment sectors. Experience of hotel, office, student accommodation, commercial, and PRS apartment schemes is beneficial.
As the Site Manager, you will be required to be a self-motivated individual who is autonomous in your role, whilst being able to drive subcontractors.
It is essential that you hold SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, Asbestos Awareness, and First Aid certificates.
Experience of building extensions and managing mini piling works are essential.
The project will commence on the 20th January 2025 and run for 8 weeks.
Remuneration:
Dependent upon experience, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to earn up to £260 per day DOE.
