Job Summary
Gwaza Ltd are seeking an experienced accounts assistant to join our team. Initially this will be on a part time basis of 25 hours per week with the potential for this to be full time in the future depending on the employee and company growth. Your working hours will be 08:00am – 13:00pm Mon-Fri, although this could be open to discussion for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will assist in managing our company’s financial records and transactions, working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
Duties
1. Processing daily bank transactions
2. Processing and running of the purchase ledger function
3. Making GBP and Forex payments
4. Processing employee expenses
5. Assist with month end Journals, Reconciliations and schedules
6. Assist with any Adhoc Finance and HR queries or tasks as requested
Requirements
1. Proficiency in accounting software, preferably Sage
2. Proficiency in IT, especially Microsoft Excel is essential
3. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
4. Previous bookkeeping experience
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
6. Ability to work as a team but also individually, taking responsibility when required
Salary
Salary will begin at £25,000 pro rata, at 25 hours per week this is equivalent to £15,625.00. Salaries are reviewed annually.
