Position Overview:
As Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading a small, enthusiastic team to deliver outstanding bike sales and customer service. You’ll inspire and motivate your team to provide expert advice, ensure a high standard of store presentation, and oversee day-to-day operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a premium retail environment with a focus on quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and motivate a small, dedicated team to offer exceptional service and expert product knowledge.
2. Ensure that the store reflects Sigma Sports’ premium standards, from product displays to overall presentation.
3. Drive and report on sales performance, meeting and exceeding targets, while fostering a customer-first culture.
4. Deliver a world-class customer experience, guiding customers through product selections and providing expert advice.
5. Oversee stock management, ensuring that inventory is kept at optimal levels and products are displayed effectively.
6. Manage staff rotas, conduct performance reviews, and support team development through training, coaching and feedback.
7. Uphold Sigma Sports’ commitment to quality, from our bike sales service to after-sales care, including workshops and bespoke fitting services.
8. Resolve customer queries and issues swiftly and professionally, maintaining the high standards that Sigma Sports is known for.
Skills & Experience:
1. Proven experience in a retail management role, ideally within a premium or specialist environment.
2. A genuine passion for cycling with an understanding of bikes, cycling products, and the cycling community (desirable).
3. Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and develop a small team.
4. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers and staff alike.
5. Ability to drive sales and meet performance targets while maintaining high levels of service.
6. Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to managing store operations.
7. Experience in stock management, visual merchandising, and store presentation.
8. A customer-focused mindset, with the ability to handle customer concerns professionally.
9. Act as a liaison between the sales team and upper management, addressing concerns and providing recommendations.
10. Generate sales performance reports, monitor KPI’s, and communicate regularly with higher management to provide updates on store operations, staff performance, customer feedback, and sales team concerns.
