Job summary We are looking to recruit a full time/part-time receptionist to join our friendly GP practice team. Applicants should have any type receptionist experience with knowledge of Systm-One. GP receptionists will receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. We are looking for a candidate who can be flexible within the role, to have the ability to adapt to the daily needs of the practice and to support annual leave cover and absences when required. Main duties of the job Key Responsibilities and Duties To process incoming and outgoing telephone calls, ensuring that callers are answered courteously, promptly and clearly and that accurate messages are always passed to the appropriate person To process online consultation forms on to the SystmOne computer system in order to be triaged by the clinician To receive and direct patients and visitors to the practice promptly and courteously Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone To work closely with the other reception staff to ensure the smooth running of reception and efficient delivery of services to the patients To book appointments and contact patients when required To complete patient-related tasks in a timely manner To register new patients, and process information such as change of address To process repeat prescription requests To be responsible for the opening and closing of the practice To be able to refer patients via tasks from the GP's About us Belgrave Medical Centre is one of the oldest GP Surgeries in England, located in the historic Orange Square in the heart of the local community in Belgravia.
