This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join the Radiology team, contributing towards the department’s objective of maintaining UKAS accreditation and facilitating a culture of continual improvement.
An experienced administrator with data handling skills is required to provide an efficient and effective Quality management administration service. We are looking for a proactive, resourceful, organised and adaptable individual with highly developed communication ability.
Main duties of the job
The role requires excellent IT skills, with the ability to handle and analyse data from various sources and present it in concise and clear manner.
Alongside this, the role includes report writing, performing presentations, diary management, training support, minute taking and the management of the Radiology Quality management system and associated databases, including Q-Pulse.
This is a varied role with a range of learning opportunities to build and develop experience and success.
Person specification
Qualifications/Training
* Good general education to GCSE Grade C or above, with English and Maths
* NVQ3 in administration / RSA3 secretarial or equivalent experience
* Diploma level Business / Administration / IT qualification or proven equivalent experience
* Ability to undertake further training required in post
* Advanced IT qualification
Experience
* Substantial administration experience in NHS or similar complex organization
* Experience of computerised record systems and data storage / retrieval / analysis
* Experience of staff supervision
* NHS administration experience in a similar post.
* Experience of managing an office
* Experience of line managing staff
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
* Advanced IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook
* Ability to assess and develop systems both paper and electronic.
