Flagger Job Type: 4-month Temporary Contract Organisation: Bury Council Pay Rate: £18 - £20 per hour (PAYE) Bury Council are seeking an experienced Flagger to join their construction team. This role involves carrying out a variety of multi-skilled flagging, drainage, and ground works related to repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment. The successful candidate will work on council homes, public buildings, and other properties managed by the local council. Day-to-day of the role: Perform general flagging duties including laying, repairing, and maintaining various types of flags. Handle drainage tasks, ensuring proper installation and maintenance. Engage in pointing and other general ground works to maintain the structural integrity of pavements and related structures. Carry out responsive and planned repairs, focusing on quality and timely execution. Work on empty homes reinstatement projects, preparing properties for new occupants. Address issues related to disrepair, damp, and contribute to capital investment projects. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in flagging, drainage, and general ground works. Knowledge of repair and maintenance techniques for public and residential buildings. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
