Lead Security Architect - SC Clearance - OUTSIDE IR35

* 6 months rolling contract
* Must hold active SC clearance
* Remote based
* £800 per day
The Lead Solution Architect will work with the programme workstream leads and their architects to ensure that the solutions being delivered are appropriate and optimal for our client and that the Enterprise IT architectural processes and documentation standards are followed.
The four workstreams of the Programme are:
1. Cyber Defence
2. Cyber Protection
3. Identity and Access Management
4. Cyber Recovery
Lead Security Architect; Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of the architecture (intentional and emergent) for the Cyber Improvement Programme (CIP) to include:
* The ‘architectural runway’
* Technical visions to support the outcomes needed
* Architecture patterns
* Written guidance for workstream architects
* Coaching and supporting architects in the CIP workstreams to enhance the quality of solution architecture within the Programme
Evolve the architecture (intentional and emergent) in collaboration with the solution architects in the programme and the wider organisation by:
* Meet customer business units’ wants and needs (Desirable)
* Adapting it to make it workable (Viable, Feasible and Sustainable)
* Translating it for business and technical stakeholders
* Acting as the Technical Design Authority (TDA) for CIP, along with the Enterprise Security Architect
Optimise the overall solution space in CIP, this includes:
* Lead solution development meetings with key stakeholders to enable the development of high quality solutions that meet business needs and balance conflicting priorities
* Identifying and enacting better ways of doing things based on industry good practice and opportunities (e.g. solution synergies).
Assure the architectural and solution documentation produced by CIP validating that it:
* Adheres to Enterprise IT’s: policies, standards and methods
* Takes into account existing processes, and solutions
* Follows architectural processes and documentation standards and templates
* Aligns with industry good practice, highlighting any potential deviations and providing rationale
* Is approved by key stakeholders (defined per workstream and solution)
* Is approved by Enterprise Security Architect (ESA)
* Define future initiatives and solutions for the Cyber Improvement Programme (CIP) to support its ongoing business case
Lead Security Architect; Qualifications and experience:
* Proven experience as a Lead Security Architect on £multi-million portfolios/programmes
* Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset, capable of anticipating future needs and trends in cyber security
* Strong Cyber Security knowledge and experience, with recognised industry qualifications/certification (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CIISec)
* Strong leadership skills with a proactive approach and experience of leading and shaping complex deliveries in collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.
* Strong architectural and design skills, with the ability to develop scalable and secure solutions
* Experience of supporting procurement exercises and implementations
