Location: Hybrid working around the North East with regular days in the Hull office

Are you a passionate HR professional looking to make an impact in a fast-paced and dynamic environment? Ground Control, the UK’s leading external maintenance and environmental services provider, is seeking an HR Advisor to join our growing HR team.
As an HR Advisor, you will be a key HR partner, providing expert guidance to managers and employees across the business. You'll support a range of HR activities, from employee relations and compliance to recruitment, training, and business change initiatives.
What you’ll do:
1. Acting as a trusted HR advisor to stakeholders across the business
2. Providing guidance on employee relations matters, including performance management, grievances, and disciplinaries
3. Ensuring compliance with employment law, policies, and best practices.
4. Supporting recruitment and onboarding activities to attract and retain top talent.
Facilitating training and development initiatives.
5. Managing HR data, reporting on key metrics, and identifying areas for improvement.
6. Supporting business change initiatives, including TUPE and restructuring.
Promoting an inclusive and positive workplace culture.
What we’re looking for:
7. Proven experience in an HR advisory role within a fast-paced environment dealing with complex and varied case work.
8. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
9. Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
10. Proficiency in HR systems and data management.
11. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
12. High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
13. Experience mentoring junior HR professionals (desirable).
CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards) is a plus but not essential
