Responsible for managing the procurement process for Engineering Solutions and BRUSH Group HO (total spend approx. £17m per annum), ensuring the business can deliver on operational commitments through effective management of subcontractors and suppliers. Identify opportunities for cost savings, optimize value, and implement new contracts where necessary to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance. You will also be managing the business fleet.
Role Responsibility
* Key member of the ERP implementation team for Engineering Solutions as SME for procurement process. Design and roll out appropriate processes aligned to Group procurement policies.
* Conduct a thorough analysis of BRUSH Group indirect costs to identify areas of potential savings and opportunities for optimization.
* Negotiate with subcontracts/suppliers to secure favourable terms and contracts that align with the organisation's strategic objectives.
* Develop and implement strategies to streamline processes, improve cost control measures, and enhance overall value for money.
* Prepare and present regular progress reports and recommendations to senior management, highlighting key findings, achievements, and areas for further improvement.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures across all procurement activities.
* Act as a subject matter expert on indirect cost management, providing guidance and support to colleagues as needed.
* Fleet management of circa 60 vehicles.
The Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in supply chain management.
* Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and supplier relationship management.
* Experience in leading process improvement initiatives and implementing best practices to optimize supply chain efficiency.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
* Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Business Central or Navision/Dynamics NAV) is preferred.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Proactive, results-oriented attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
* Fleet management of 50 plus vehicles.
* Construction/Civils background.
